This Workshop is specially designed for everybody who is interested in Tribal Style – no matter if you have never danced in your life. Take this opportunity to sneak a peek in the wonderful world of dancing !
We will learn the basic tribal steps, that will enable us to to communicate without words and dance to any music, following subtle but exact cues of the leading dancer. Perfectly mastered isolations in different parts of our bodies can make our dance look almost alien and fascinating. In this workshop we practice isolating the three major body areas as well as feet and arms using different movement shapes, and then layer them together. Improvisational Tribal Style with Finger Cymbals (Intermediate)
For dancers with experience in ITS and/or Cymbals. We will primarily dance to the basic American Tribal Style steps together and find new ways of expressing ourselves with our own music. Many tribes use the common gallop most of the time while improvising, but it is nice to have some variations for special steps. If you want some inspiration for a special pattern for a step of your tribe feel free to ask!
(Please bring your own finger cymbals. If you don’t have cymbals already please write me in time and I can arrange to lend you some or help you with finding the cymbals wich will work best for you)

Fast and surprising or slow and graceful… Different ways to get down to the floor and back up again. You may have a beautiful floorwork routine up your sleeve, but it can all fail, when you’re not able to finish it with an elegant and effortless rise. We’ll go through easy ways to do seemingly difficult level changes and moves, while paying attention to our bodies’ abilities and keeping it safe and healthy. Please dress appropriately -long pants and long-sleeved t-shirts. If you like, bring your kneepads.

For dancers who already have experience in dancing Tribal or Oriental Style and want to take their first steps with the sword or who already have experience with the sword and want to get some new inspiration.
The dance with the sword is calm – beautiful, vigorous – dangerous. You are dancing with a partner wich is not always easy to control. In this workshop we will tame our swords to do our bidding – powerful poses, intense moves and balance.
Please bring your own swords. If you don’t have a sword already please write me in time and I can arrange to lend you one or help you with finding the sword wich will work best for you – but please let yourself some time with it at home to try it out!
